Apple's Smart Home Push: HomeView, HomePod Mini 2, and More

Apple just dropped a massive update for your smart home setup. They introduced a brand new smart display, revamped a favorite speaker, and rolled out a whole ecosystem of connected accessories. Let's dive right into what's new.

Meet the all-new Apple HomeView

First up is a completely new device called the Apple HomeView. This is a small smart hub designed to sit on your counter or desk. It features a 7-inch display and comes packed with some clever tech.

The standout feature is facial recognition. It can recognize up to six different people in your household. Once it knows who is looking at it, the display adapts to show personalized content just for that person. You have two different versions to choose from, and it comes in four different colors. The HomeView starts at $299.

HomePod Mini 2 gets a colorful upgrade

Next is the new HomePod Mini 2. Apple has improved the sound quality for this generation. You also get five different color options to match your room.

A fun new addition is the sound glow feature. The top surface now lights up and glows in sync with whatever music you are playing. The HomePod Mini 2 starts at $149.

A more powerful Apple TV 4K

Your living room is getting an upgrade with the new Apple TV 4K. This version is powered by the A19 chip for faster performance. Apple also added built-in microphones directly to the device. This gives you hands-free Siri access right from your couch.

The remote now includes Find My support. You will never have to dig through your couch cushions to find it again. If you have multiple HomePods, this new Apple TV 4K supports a four-speaker surround sound system. It comes with 128 gigabytes of storage and starts at $299.

Apple didn't build these entirely alone. They developed this collection in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. Prices for these different accessories range from $199 up to $399.
